Your CV and your privacy
MatchCV stores the information you choose to provide to create, edit and export your CV.
Information we store
Account details, saved CVs, profile information, portraits, job descriptions and AI request usage are stored in the application database. Passwords are stored as hashes. Imported files are processed in memory; extracted information is stored when you save or apply it.
AI processing
When you use AI generation, imports, matching or improvements, relevant CV content and job information are sent to OpenAI. Requests ask OpenAI not to store the response. Provider processing and retention depend on the service account settings and provider policies. Portraits are not included in these AI requests.
Browser storage and sign-in
Session cookies keep you signed in. Drafts are stored in your browser and may remain until cleared or expired. Saved-editor drafts expire after seven days. Avoid leaving sensitive drafts on shared devices. Google sign-in shares account identity information with the app when you choose it.
Downloads, sharing and deletion
PDF and Word files download to your device. CV publishing is not currently available. You can delete individual CVs or delete your account from settings. Anonymous daily request counters remain to enforce site limits. Database backups may retain deleted information until the configured backup retention period expires.
